Phase One of contruction at Camp Daniel included building staff homes, a maintenance garage, office and welcome center, residents' home, nature center, snack stand/picnic pavillion and many other general improvements to the grounds, existing buildings and the lakefront.
Phase Two focuses on the camp side of our organization. Currently, Camp Daniel rents another campground in order to have camp. The vision is to turn the Camp Daniel campus into a fully accessible camping center where we can hold nine weeks of camp in the summer, rent out to other organizations, and hold fall and winter retreats for families, individuals and groups. In order to have the camps on the Little Newton Lake grounds, we must build dorms, bathroom/shower facilities and a dining hall. Construction of the dorms and restroom facilities began in l 2006. Each dorm will hold 50 people.. The need is for 2 dorms of this size with the two bathrooms.
This project is being built entirely with volunteers and with the help many people sharing the challenge of fundraising and building.
